The foundational service aspect of International Harvesters is Ministry. It is the primary function of their Harvesting Projects, that take place anywhere throughout a city, a region, a nation and/or the world.
Ministry that is real, genuine and from a pure heart. [The Lord told Gideon to speak to the 30,000 that had been called to fight and to tell them that were afraid to leave and go back home. Then He told Gideon to separate them again and to utilize the smaller group of men rather then the larger group. Because of man's fallen nature, God has to work within our limits as natural men and women dealing with the supernatural world of demons and angels. Greater is He that is within us, then he that is in the world, but it is usually much more effective for the Holy Spirit to minister to others through a remnant of believers than a mass of believers. The spirits of Lust, Pride and Greed are waiting for the smallest opening in our lives to bring death and destruction within the Gifts of Intimacy, Authority & Resources. It only as we serve each other within these Gifts of Intimacy, Authority & Resources through a heart of Purity, Humility and Giving that Life and Blessings will flow like a river.]
Ministry, that is directed toward the Father's heart, in the Name of His Son and filled with the power of His Holy Spirit, His very presence and glory. [The fullness of God's character is Love. Unconditional Love that gives and gives, without any expectation of return, and especially to those that don't deserve such favor and grace. The Hebrew word for Love is to reveal the Father's heart. Ministering or serving others in the Manifestations of the Holy Spirit (Words of Wisdom, Knowledge, Faith, Healing, Miracles, Prophecy, Discerning of Spirits, Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues), without the Fruit of the Holy Spirit (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness & Self Control) is like operating on someone's body without an anesthetic. Any service or ministry that is not done in the fullness of His love is very painful and usually causes more hurt than healing. All ministry must be done in love, without it we are serving without the Holy Spirit's power, without the revelation of the Son and in opposition to the Father's heart of Grace & Mercy.]
Ministry, that is conducted with two or more fellow believers in God. [In any success warfare or battle, you can't do it alone. You have to have someone watching your back side, as you in turn watch their backside. We can usually see a little more than 180 degrees, but we have to trust others to see the other 180 degrees behind us and they have to trust us to see what they can't. Trust is earned and developed in and through relationship. It is rarely given to others very easily, unless we know of their character and such is deemed trustworthy. God will rarely, if ever, send one man out alone to fight the enemy of our souls. He understand warfare, sees all and knows our human frailty. In ministry, wherein we are destroying the works of the enemy, we must have others to join us and keep us safe and in the center of His will.]
Ministry, that is in the marketplace, that takes place in our community, outside of our homes and churches. [Most people spend most of their time and resources in the marketplace. Unbelievers are not usually in churches and you have to earn the right to be heard and become a real friend over an extended period of time before they will welcome you into their homes. So, if you are going to serve or minister Life to them, then it has to be done in the marketplace, in the city, where they won't feel threaten or boxed in. But how does that really happen? What opens the doors of people hearts as you work with them, eat lunch with them and have fun with them. Real Love flowing from Real people, that are not perfect but are forgiven, making mistakes but living life in Fullness, Hope and Faith in a Real God.]
Ministry, that takes place within the context of testimony, wherein God is being glorified and exalted. [How do you share Real Love? How do you become a Real person to someone who doesn't know, honor, respect or love God. By being truthful and honest about your life. By being transparent, letting other see into the depths of your heart, the joys and the sorrows, the faith and the fears, the accomplishments and the failures, and especially how you handle both the good and the bad of everyday life. As you share your life with others in the marketplace, God will reveal Himself to them through you. It is His responsibility to draw them to Himself, as you lift Him up in your life. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and trust Him to give you the words, the actions and manifestations of His Holy Spirit that will break open the hardness of their hearts. Sinners loved Jesus, because Him loved them and they turned away from their sins to follow Him.]
When a Harvester works with other Harvesters in a Harvesting Project, they begin by coming together for fasting and prayer with the Harvesting Project Team Leader and the other Harvesters that have been assigned to the Harvesting Project Team by the Holy Spirit. The goal of this season of prayer and fasting is to ask the Holy Spirit to confirm that the Harvesters that are gathered together are indeed those that He has chosen for this particular Harvesting Project, to reveal detailed strategies and timings for the Harvesting Project, and to reveal what the enemy is going to do to attempt to hinder the successful completion of this particular Harvesting Project. (If at least two Harvesters do not have a peace that another Harvester is supposed to be a part of their Harvesting Project, it is not a reflection on their character, their integrity nor their relationship with the Holy Spirit. It is simply a confirmation by the mouth of two witnesses that the Harvester is not to participate in the current Harvesting Project at that particular time and the Holy Spirit wants them to participate in another Harvesting Project or wants them to join the current Harvesting Project at a later time and place.)
Once confirmation has been received regarding each Harvester, the team asks for specific details as to how the Holy Spirit wants to proceed with the Harvesting Project. (Since the Holy Spirit knows all, including the condition of the people that He wants to minister to, there may be certain acts of obedience that need to take place on the part of the Harvesters and the people that will enable the ministry to be fruitful and lasting.) Once these initial details are received by the Harvesters, the team asks for the desires of the enemy to be revealed so that they can be careful to avoid his traps and to continue to fast and pray until the enemy is removed completely from the situation, wherein God's will is accomplished in the lives of the people that are going to receive the ministry. (Any and every thing that God wants to do in the earth will be opposed by the enemy. Even though he is no longer in authority over the earth and it's peoples, he still rules through those that are yielded to him and that are ignorant of the fact that he is a defeated foe and that the only power that he has is to keep them in the deception that he is still in charge. On the other hand, Yeshua "Jesus Christ" is now in authority, but He will only exercise that authority in the lives of believers that are yielded to Him. When He soon comes to the earth as our Messiah King, all activity on earth will be yielded to His complete authority.)
Once the desires of the enemy have been revealed and dealt with, the team asks for the Harvesting Project to begin with the supply of needed contacts, materials and any funds that are necessary. (Since the Holy Spirit is directing the Harvesting Project through the Harvesting Project Team Leader, it is very important that the team continues in prayer and fasting, as directed, until the Harvesting Project is completed, so that it will be done as the Lord desires.) Optional: Once the Harvesting Project is completed, the Harvesting Project Team Leader completes a report that is submitted to their Fellowship Chapter (and their local Harvester Radio network station), wherein it is reviewed and the Harvesters are perhaps interviewed so that they can testify on the radio, at a Harvest Rally and/or on this website to what God has done through their obedience.
