Prophecy for Portland Oregon (and surrounding regions)
Given by Cindy Jacobs at City Bible Church on Wednesday July 23, 1997
· ...And the Lord would say to this city, “Have I not given you anointing to heal nations, and from this place” says God, “I’m going to raise up a strong prayer tower. I’m going to raise up the watch that will come from this city. The anointing from this watch will be the anointing to break New Age. I’m going to bring forth an anointing from this city, I’m raising up intercessors, I’m raising up prophets, and the Word of the Lord will come forth.”
· The Lord says, “I will tear down the idolatry to the occult, I will tear down the idolatry to humanism and the word will go out in the Spirit that no longer will this be a haven for New Age,” says God, “because I’m going to turn it around, and I’m going to show forth my glory, because I am getting ready to manifest myself as the God of glory in this city.”
· “I’m going to release a river of miracles. I’m going to release signs and wonders. I’m going to release creative miracles, I’m going to cause limbs to grow where there are no limbs, eyes to be grown where there are no eyes,” and God says, “I will even astound the medical profession,” and the Lord says, “there will even be a day, that you will see doctors line the platform and you will see them come, and you will see the crutches pile up and you will see the wheelchairs and the stretchers.”
· “For I am doing a new thing,” says God, “and I’m pouring out upon this generation, not just in one church, but I say upon the church of Portland, and the surrounding areas. I’m going to cause my name to be glorified and people will come from the nations and they will come from far and wide to receive the impartation for the miraculous. And,” says the Lord, “I’m going to begin to impart the anointing for signs and wonders and miracles.”
· And the Lord says to you, “You have come hungry, and you have said, ‘where is the God of Elijah?’” And the Lord says, “I will pour out the ‘Elisha anointing’ upon this generation of leaders [a double anointing]”
· And the Lord says, “I will astound, I will astound the wisdom of the wise, and I am going to release a mixture of the prophetic, I’m going to release a mixture of miracles,”
· And the Lord says, “I will cause this city to be a city of refuge, I will cause this city to be raised up as a standard. It will be on CNN news, it will be in Newsweek International,” and the Lord says, “I am raising up a standard and from this place, I am going to not only heal bodies, but I’m going to heal this city,” says the Lord, “I’m going to heal the economy, to make out of this city a model that many people from governments, city governments from around the United States will be flying in because I am causing a new anointing to come on this city,” and the Lord says, “they will marvel because I’m going to be glorified in city government, I’m going to be glorified in the health and human services, I’m going to be glorified in the social services,” and God says, “look and see what I’m going to do because I am going to reverse the order,” and the Lord says, “I’m going to put the government upon my shoulders and the lawgiver will go forth out of Zion,” says God.
· And the Lord says, “Watch and see for anything you dream is too small. Anything your believe, I can do with this city is too small,” says God.
· And the Lord says, “In this next few months you’re going to begin to see even signs in the heavens. I’m going to show dramatic things,” says God, “to display my glory.”
· And the Lord says to you, “I’m going to start exporting this around the world,” says God “and you’re going to go forth from this place with healing in your hands for I am going to rise with healing in my wings, I’m going to heal the education system, I’m going to heal the legal system, I’m going to transform this city,” says God “and I’m going to use it as a model for America and the nations.”
· ...Over Portland we prophesy the miracles. We say, “The trumpet of the Lord is going forth in Jesus Name.” The Lord says, “Isn’t this why Satan has come to devour and isn’t this why the thief has come to steal, kill and destroy?”
· “Do not be confounded by the increase of the warfare against you. Do not be confounded because Satan is trying to discourage your soul. He has caused the accuser of the brethren to rise up even against you that are in renewal. There have even been those of your own household, those of the brethren that have said, ‘I will not walk with you, if you walk that way.’” But I would say to you, “Trust and obey,” because I say that, “I am raising up a leadership such as the earth has not seen before,” and the Lord says, “it will go forth in writing, it will go forth via satellite link up and I’m going to raise up that mighty house, I’m going to raise up prayer and healing schools - not just from one church, but it’s going to be spread across this city, and people will come in and they’ll say no, I’m not just going to go here, I’m going to go there,” and the Lord says, “I’m going to do it so many places in this city, that the devil can’t stamp it out.”

And the Lord would say to the
city of Portland, "Surely, I
am going to fill you with My praises...I am going to saturate you with my
praises." The Lord would say, "there is going to be a day and one day and I
would say to you...Can a city be born in a day? and I would say, Yes a city can
be born in a day. For there is a day when worshippers
will go up and down the river in boats. There is a day that we will
stand on street corners. They will fill Vancouver, Salem, Gresham and Portland.
I am going to fill the streets with
my praises...not just in a March for Jesus but I am going to put a canopy
over this area," says God "and I as I begin to pavilion over this area," says the
Lord. "There is going to be a time of unprecedented harvest such as you can never imagine.
For I
am getting ready to come as the Great Harvester of the earth. I am getting
ready to come for there are multitudes in the valley of decision." So the
Lord says, "Look and see. For
there is a turning of the page today. There is turning of the new
season today. And I am rising up in your midst," says the Lord.
· And the Lord would say over the state of WASHINGTON, "I am getting ready to move for I am going to cause a revival of new agers in the state of Washington. The occult is coming down and the kingdom of God is ascending," says the Lord. The Lord says, "Get ready because I am going to bring the witches and the warlocks and the satanists into your churches and they are going to get saved. For remember that I have said, This is the season that, I AM that I AM, is arising in the earth. For your praises have released something in the heavens that I have been waiting for, for many years," says God. "I have been waiting for that portal, for that open door, for that open gate, and surely I, the Lord, the Ancient of Days are coming through that battle. I am going through the gates that have been lifted up and I would say to you that I am going to show myself strong."
