In the Summer of 1970, at the age of 5 years, Lynn and Janice Autry asked the well-known Bible teacher, Derek Prince to lay his hands on their son and dedicate his life to the purposes of the Lord. He did so and that prayer of dedication laid the foundations for what God has done in his life thus far.
Throughout his teenage years, Sue Wiatt of There Is More Ministries, would pray for James during her ministry trips throughout South Georgia. She was gifted in receiving “words from the Lord” and she quite often spoke about the Gifts of Healing that God has placed within his life and how He was going to use his life in ministry.
In the Summer of 1989, at the age of 24, Demos Shakarian, the founder of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International, prayed for James at the Saturday evening meeting of their USA National Convention in Nashville, TN. He laid his hand upon James’ shoulder and asked him, “You know, the hand of the Lord is upon you?” James responded with an affirmative nod and “Yes.” Then Demos moved on to pray for others. This event confirm that God was indeed moving in his life, as he had just finished his degree in Marketing from Belmont University and was waiting upon the Lord for the next major move in his life, wherein he moved to California to work for Demos at FGBMFI's World Headquarters.
In the Summer of 1991, at the age of 26, James was invited to share his testimony at a FGBMFI chapter meeting in Fallen, NV. When he arrived at the meeting, a man approached him and asked if he could share an experience that he had several months earlier. He was attending a Women’s Aglow Conference with his wife, and Mike Bickle Director of the International House of Prayer-Kansas City, called him out of the audience and began to speak a word to him. Mike stated that he was to share this word with the Autry family. He had never heard of the Autry name, nor did he know any Autrys in Nevada. When he arrived back at home, he received a flyer for the chapter meeting and James was listed as that month’s guest speaker. He shared the audio tape of the word given by Mike Bickle to the Autry family, which stated that God wanted to bless them abundantly, if they would meet one requirement, to give to Him their “whole heart.”
In November of 1991, as James was working at the FGBMFI World Headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA, a woman came up to him during a special prayer meeting for Demos and the Fellowship. She stated that the Lord had just spoken to her that James was going to speak to nations. Not to people within the nations, but to whole nations at a time, (perhaps through mass media). During his Christmas break with his family in Georgia, he shared this word with his mother and she began to weep. The Lord had just spoken the same word to her several weeks earlier as she was washing the dishes in the kitchen. They wept together.
In the Spring of 1994, at the age of 29, James went up for prayer one Sunday night at New Life Church in Colorado Springs, CO. Ted Haggard began to pray for him and rebuked the spirits of condemnation and depression that were attacking his life. He then said that James was as David and Gideon before the Lord and thus would have like ministries and anointings in the years to come, that of a Businessman/Worshiper and a Businessman/Warrior in the Lord’s army.
In the December of 1995, at the age of 30, James was attending the FGBMFI Oakland Chapter meeting, wherein Dick Mills was the guest speaker. Dick called James out of the audience during the ministry time and gave him several scriptures. He said, “James, I've got good news, crack it up a notch, get ready for the next level, (Psalms 115:14) the Lord is going to increase His blessing upon you and everyone you come in contact with, (Job 17:9) your faith in going to get stronger and stronger, (Proverbs 4:18) your path is going to get brighter and brighter, I've got good news, you're not going to get penalized, you're not going to get punished, you're not going to get etched into cement or paint yourself into a corner, you are going to be right in the mainstream of what the Holy Spirit is doing in the earth, you're going to be right in the middle of the action, (Isaiah 30:21) you will hear a word behind you saying 'this is the way, walk ye in it', I've got good news, as time goes by, the voice of the Adversary, who hammers at you with accusations, is going to diminish, the voice of self, that is impulsive, impetuous, impotent and impatient, is going to phase down and the Voice of the Lord is going to get clearer and clearer and clearer to you James, so that you will know that you are being lead by the Spirit.” (Listen)
In the Summer of 1995, God instructed James to re-read the short booklets that Demos Shakarian wrote during the last years of his life, detailing what the next major move of God’s Spirit would look like in our communities and throughout the nation and the world. As he read, God revealed to James the endtime strategy (or movement) that He had declaring through Demos consisting of prayer, worship and ministry for releasing the glory of God in the marketplace, and thus bringing salvation, healing, deliverance and life to an entire community. This city-wide movement was given the name International Harvesters and is published at its website, www.internationalharvesters.org.
In December of 1996, Father Don Kennedy prophesied over James regarding the heavy anointing that was upon his life for a work of ministry that would bring peace & joy to his family and those around him, wherein he would have a special voice of ministry to do a new thing in the earth. (Listen)
In Spring of 1997, at the age of 32, the Lord sent Intercessor Lin Ludwick to James' office at the Portland radio station to encourage him with the passage in Judges 6:12-14, wherein the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon and said, "The Lord is with you, oh mighty man of valor!" . . . "Go in this your might and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent you?" "Surely I will be with you and you shall smite the Midianites as one man." Such confirmed the anointing of Gideon that had been placed upon James and what he has been called to do in these last days.
In December of 1997, a special guest speaker at the Portland FGBMFI Chapter meeting prophesied over James regarding the multiple burdens that God was placing in his heart, wherein He would stand with James and people would see God in him, as he called them to prayer, prayer that would shake the foundations of cities and bring down the strongholds that have keep them captive for so long. In September of 1998, at a FGBMFI Men's Advance in Turner, Oregon, the Holy Spirit came upon James releasing his first public tongue and interpretation (through another) that declared the Fullness of God in the Last Days, wherein God is now doing a mighty sifting of the hearts of His people to determine those that will be chosen to bring Glory to His Name, to be Holy before Him and walk in His Glory with nothing touching them and no fear, because they are sealed by His Holy Spirit. In August of 1999, at the age of 34, the Lord spoke to James at a FGBMFI chapter meeting in Portland (after 25 months of seeking Him with fasting and prayer for the first three days of each month). God revealed to him that He had placed James in Portland, Oregon to broadcast over radio, TV and the internet what He is doing and is going to do throughout the Northwest and beyond.
In September of 1999, Bruno Caamano at the FGBMFI Men’s Advance in Turner, Oregon, called James out of the audience and prophesied to him, that if he would open his mouth, God would fill it, which is the very thing that James had just prayed to the Lord. Bruno even prophesied that it would include the use of radio and TV via satellites.
In September of 2000, at the age of 35, at the same Men’s Advance, James was facilitating the Saturday evening meeting with the same guest speaker and Bruno was moved of the Lord to stop the meeting in the middle of the service and receive a seed faith offering from the men to buy the radio stations. James wept as they laid $1087.80 of the Lord’s money at the foot of the altar towards the ministry that God has called him to, wherein the funds have been invested as He has directed.
In October of 2002, at the age of 37, James attended a “Standing with Israel” National Conference in Kirkland, Washington, sponsored by Christian Friends of Israel International. As David Davis, pastor of a Carmel Assembly, a messianic congregation on Mt. Carmel in Israel, was speaking, God spoke to James’ heart regarding airing live and pre-recorded programming from believers in Israel on the Portland radio station and simulcasting such programming on stations in the Denver/Colorado Springs, Dallas, Atlanta and Washington, D.C. metro areas.
In January of 2003, at the age of 38, James attended a Prayer Meeting for Israel at the World Prayer Center in Colorado Springs, CO. The coordinator of that weekly prayer meeting, Constance Woods, shared that she saw James standing before the Lord soaked in Grace. It was dripping from his head, his hands and his feet. She also stated that James was like an arrow in the hand of the Lord that He would send to pierce the hearts of those that love Him with understanding and those that will love Him with repentance and calling. They committed to pray for James and the vision that God has given him of broadcasting programming from Israel throughout the U.S. and beyond via the internet.
In March of 2003, at the Northwest Intercessor’s Conference at City Bible Church, James was attending a meeting with Cindy Jacobs. As she spoke about the Cyrus anointing, the Lord ministered to James’ heart. As he wept, he was instructed by the Lord to wipe his tears with a one dollar bill that he had in his pocket. He did so and put the bill back in his pocket. Then he was instructed to take the bill back out again and look at it. He then saw the date 1995, the very year that God had explained to him the International Harvesters strategy that was revealed to Demos Shakarian during the last years of his life's work and ministry.
On Tuesday, June 22, 2004, Joshua Jacob of Perth, Australia prophesied the following: I thank you, My Father God, for my brother James. I lay my hands upon him. I thank you for this man, dear God, has a passion to do great things. And the Lord says, “Son, the passion that you have is just a small thing. I’m going to give you bigger. You are going to be a man that is going to draw, you’re going to draw even puzzles, like jigsaw puzzles and I’m going to fit them all together.” And the Lord says, “You are going to be a man that is going to challenge the people out there. You’re going to challenge even the media.” The Lord says, “Don’t stop son. Begin to arise. I’ve put in you not only an anointing of a businessmen, not only an anointing of a king, not only an anointing of an entrepreneurial spirit,” but the Lord says, “I’ve put in you anointing of an ambassador, you will speak to nations.” And the Lord says, “that you will be so bold, to proclaim and declare the goodness and the power of the Gospel” and the Lord says, “that you will have the ability to speak and draw not churches, draw thousands of people.” And the Lord says, “Son, you’re going to raise many young people into the Kingdom work. You will be a man who is going to create jobs, you’re going to create employment for people.” And the Lord says, “For you son, I’m going to give you the desire of your heart, that many things . . . . But SON!, you’re going to be an accomplisher, I’m going to give you assignments that others don’t have it.” But the Lord says, “There will be many challenges, the enemy will put upon you affliction, the enemy will bring disappointment and depression, but FEAR NOT,” says God, “I’ve put within you an anointing of a loin, that you will begin to roar, and when you roar, the enemy flees.” “And Son,” the Lord says, “I will bring the finances, there will be times that you will rise up not just to a CEO.” The Lord says, “I’m going to bring finances, not one hundred, not thousands, but millions of dollars for your projects. You will be a man that is going to rise up to be the head and not the tail. And the Lord says, “Son, it may be small now. But be ready. It is going to be big. You are going to chase the enemy. The enemy will flee. You will have the capacity to challenge the power of media.” And Lord says, “that you will speak to them boldly and FEAR NOT!, do not entertain fear,” says God. God bless this man. “It will be done.” And the Lord says, “I’m going to bring revelation into you, the revelation of the kingdom. You will be a man who will rise up and even go to the Senators and Congressmen and to the Mayors.” The Lord says, “You have the potential, but you have to choose,” says God, “to walk with me and then I will do it!” says God. On Tuesday, April 19, 2005, Greg Romine prophesied the following: God is moving on your life. This is a season of promotion for you. He is taking you up to another level. In Revelations 4:1, God's voice speaks to John and says, "Come up here and I will show you the things that are going to be hereafter." When God's Word says, "Come up here" the Greek word is to climb up, to walk up, to step up, to go up. It has to do with an action that he is voluntarily making and God is saying the door is open up here for you to come up to this other level, but you have to step up, you have to walk up, you have to go up, you have to climb that little ladder. There is going to be an entirely new vista, just at the top of those few steps. Lord, I pray for my brother, take him up in that new level, let him understand the things to come, mighty God, open his eyes as if he had been a blind man, mighty God, I pray that you would use him in an entirely fresh dimension, let revelation soak his mind, and let him walk in it and bring it to pass, in Jesus' name. On Tuesday, August 30, 2005, John Meyer of Voice of One Crying Ministries prophesied the following: I saw you standing in a place of positional authority, the way that God has created you to be in, your armor had been dented and scratched from the battles that you had been in, then I saw, all of a sudden, it changed and the Lord was polishing and shining this brand new armor that had come upon you, and as I saw this transition of you going forward, you were standing erect with a newness and a freshness upon your life again, and the weight of what you had been through, the training and the developing, was starting to fall off. And I saw this big "W" that was engrained into the chest of this armor, standing for Warrior/Worship. In the past, behind you, this gray crumbling, this place that you had been in fading away, not that it was crumbling itself, but it was falling away coming into a newness into which you were entering into, then I saw that gray crumbling representing the radio station here, representing that that portion of your life was about to fade and move into something new and transitional. Not that you were going to leave it all together but there was something new on the horizon that you were moving into and that you were joyful, you were rejoicing and full of joy, because what you were entering into, was something that you had longed for. Behind you, I saw a person coming into the picture, like they were coming to sit in your place, and they knew what they were doing, they had experience in radio, they had experience in managing, and they just got plugged in, in the position and then you moved on. And that was coming very soon, not off in the distance, but coming soon. I heard from the Lord, "that it is soon for James and it was something that he longed for". Also there was an "R" standing for religiosity, that was trying to dig it's claws into your new armor, and trying to get you to stop from going forward, but it couldn't do it. It began to unleash it's claws and fall to the wayside, as you were going forward. There is a religious mindset that is going to try to grip you and say "No, don't do it", but the Lord has already shown you in your heart and in your spirit to go do it. God has it covered and He is going to take care of the things that need to plugged in and need to be positioned right. And he is going to confirm this again to you by someone that you can really trust by the Spirit as well, someone that you look up to. They are going to come and confirm that God has something new, powerful and something that you have longed for and you are to move forward and "Go for it!" (Listen)
On Tuesday, May 23, 2006, Kimberly Hjelt, Pastor of Word & Spirit Church in Portland, prophesied the following at the Portland FGBMFI Chapter Meeting with Larry Holloway (including Luke 21:15, Acts 6:10 & Isaiah 61:6-7): (Listen) Then on November 17, 2006 at the Restore America Pastors & Business Leaders Breakfast, the following scripture for James was strongly given to Kimberly (almost to the point of tears), Isaiah 49:23, "And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet; and you shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me." and she felt that such would come out of Washington, D.C. very soon!
On Friday, August 11, 2006, at the monthly "Into His Presence" Prayer Gatherings in Northeast Portland, Jim Faulkner was given the following words for James, his wife, Susan and their boys, William and Oliver. (Listen)
On Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship - Portland Chapter Meeting, Vicky Adams gave James the following words (Listen) & on May 13, 2008, Jerry Shonk gave James the following words (Listen).
As it stands right now, 39 years after Derek Prince prayed for James, he believes that he is called to facilitate what Demos Shakarian saw by the Spirit, as Moses before the Lord, as he wrote about the future promised land, of God moving His people (Jews & Gentiles) to inherit the provision, the protection and the blessings of all that He has prepared for those that love Him and walk in His ways.
